PLACES TO STAY, PLACES TO EAT
La Villa Marichon, Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec, Canada. If you have not yet been privledged to vacation in Gaspesie, Quebec, Canada you must plan to do so. We enjoyed a week there (click on the keyword "Quebec" on my home page to see photos from our trip) and stayed at the lovely La Villa Marichon B&B after making the loop around the peninsula. Jocelyne and Bertrand are wonderful hosts, and they will welcome you, too! Enjoy the
sunset over the Saint Lawrence River from their deck.
Aux Trois balcons, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. A visit to Quebec City is a must! It resembles a small, old, European city but with the friendly, clean and quaint feel of a New England village. We enjoyed our stay very much, and highly recommend the Aux Trois balcons B&B. Isabelle Ouellet is a delightful hostess and a suberb cook, and will make your stay memorable! Most Vieux-Quebec attractions are within a twenty minute brisk walk, the Musee du Quebec is just a block away, and Isabelle will recommend several fine restaurants near the B&B.
The
Bobcat Cafe in Bristol, Vermont exhibited my work as Featured Artist for the month of May, 2007. The exhibit included eleven of my framed Giclée prints. I appreciate the efforts of Carolyn Ashby, Manager of the Art On Main Gallery in Bristol, in curating this exhibit. Barbara and I have dined at the Bobcat, and enjoyed some of the best food we have ever been served in Vermont. If you are in the area, plan on dinner at the Bobcat Cafe!
